The movie tells the story of a court case that established a legal precedent and made kidnapping young brides in Ethiopia illegal. Hirut Assefa, a 14-year-old girl, gets kidnapped while returning from school. She then snatches a firearm and attempts to flee, but she accidentally shoots her prospective husband.

Helena and Amero sleep together, but they both deliberately interrupted their foreplay, which was being recorded by his buddies on a mobile phone. The phone unexpectedly shut off before they could hear their ending.
